Panel discussion on Building the Construction Energy Transportation Taxonomy: The XBRL-CET taxonomy

Sep 17, 2014 - XBRL Data Forum at Bellevue, Washington

Description

Accessing surety credit is complex and costly. Large contractors are favored over small due to economies of scale. Bringing structured data into the process of obtaining surety bonds could substantially reduce these processing costs and improve access to projects for small companies. Join this session to learn about the Construction Energy Transportation (CET) Extension and how it can enable computer application systems for the construction industry to import and export concepts needed that combine existing US GAAP Taxonomy elements with construction-specific fields such as work in progress reports and monthly billing. The CET Extension will support easier adoption of electronic transactions, including standardized electronic performance and payment surety bonds, letters of credit, and insurance policies.
